Debra began work on this dress in early 2003 for her daughter, Maire...a huge project, as she had not seriously sewn in 20 years! With immense research and patience--helped particularly by the ladies on the Celtic Flame dressmakers' forum--she finished the project with great success. Rachel, Maire's sister, aided with the Elvish embroidery and fell in love with the dressmaking, and so began to learn from "the master," her mother Debra.
