The main fabric of "Rivendell in Autumn" is Tuscan Olive dupioni silk, with a starry green netting framing the knotwork embroidery and appliqué, all of which is done in autumnal shades of gold, copper, red/orange, and green. The flower-and-leaf motifs, combined with traditional Celtic knotwork, enhance the autumnal theme. The appliqué fabrics consist of tissue and liquid lamés, brocades, and other metallic/glittered fabrics. The dress is accented with Swarovski (genuine Austrian) crystals in colors of crystal, citrine, and fire opal.

This unique design was created and sewn for a lovely dancer in Scotland in the Spring of 2005.
